Coloristreet is an international real estate agency between Paris and Lisbon. It was founded in 2016 by Julio Marques, following several years of experience in the Paris property market, including with a prestigious agency in the city’s Golden Triangle.

This experience gave him a clear understanding of the expectations of both sellers and buyers. It also allowed him to observe the growing interest in Portugal among French and international clients.

At the time, an increasing number of buyers were considering Lisbon, Cascais and the Portuguese coast as a genuine alternative: somewhere to live, invest or begin a new chapter. Julio Marques therefore decided to develop an activity capable of connecting the two countries.

The idea was not to choose between Paris and Lisbon, but to create continuity: to continue advising clients on sales, purchases and lettings in Paris while helping them bring a property project in Portugal to life.

Why does Portugal appeal to so many buyers?

There are several reasons behind this growing interest.

Portugal offers a highly sought-after quality of life: a bright climate, generous sunshine, easy access to the Atlantic and its beaches, and a more relaxed pace of life. Its architectural and cultural heritage, food, welcoming atmosphere and outdoor way of life add to its appeal.

Its proximity to France is another important factor. Lisbon is easily accessible from Paris, making it possible to consider a permanent move, a second home or a life shared between the two countries.

Portuguese taxation, for many years more favourable and attractive for certain new residents, also contributed to this momentum. Schemes such as the Non-Habitual Resident regime helped bring Portugal to the attention of international buyers. The rules have since evolved and now depend more closely on each person’s profile and circumstances, but they played a genuine role in the country’s appeal.

During the same period, Lisbon established itself as an open and international European capital. The arrival of Web Summit in 2016 accompanied a broader transformation: the growth of entrepreneurship, the arrival of new companies and international professionals, and the development of a more cosmopolitan environment.

Portugal also offers very different settings: the urban and cultural energy of Lisbon, the coastline and residential elegance of Cascais, and the nature and discretion of Comporta. This diversity allows each client to find a place that genuinely suits their plans.

Continuity between Paris and Lisbon

Today, Coloristreet advises owners and buyers in Paris and its inner suburbs, as well as in Portugal, particularly in Lisbon, Cascais and Comporta.

Every market has its own characteristics, and every project its own story. Coloristreet therefore maintains a deliberately personal approach: listening, explaining the realities of the market clearly and guiding each stage with care.

The guiding principle has remained unchanged since 2016: to provide trusted property advice, supported by practical knowledge of the property markets in Paris, Lisbon and Portugal.
